In August, I went with my family to Seattle, Washington for a cousin's wedding. It was nice. The views were AMAZING. You think we have mountains here in NEPA? HA. We have "Speed bumps" here. I saw snow! In AUGUST! I experienced 40 degree temps...IN AUGUST. It was cool. My wife took 2.4 million pictures, all which I have yet to download to my computer. But she got them printed. They came in a shoebox. I'm not lying. All the pictures were given to us in a shoebox.
Anyway, while in Seattle, I spent the majority of my time at the market place. You've seen this...it's where they throw the fish. It was pretty neat. Plus, there was a place there that makes these little donuts. They come in Plain, Powdered Sugar, Cinnamon Sugar or Sprinkles. They are the BEST donuts I have ever eaten. Our hotel was 3 blocks from the market place....we got a dozen donuts, and they were gone before we got back to the hotel.
The wedding was beautiful. It was in a Vineyard in Quincy and the views there were phenomenal.
OK, back home.
We got new cell phones. I can't get into reasoning, or what kind, or anything like that because of our sponsors on Magic 93. If you want to know, call me. :)
I worked A LOT of extra hours on Magic 93 in September. I guess that's when the majority of other part-timers take time off. I'm so NOT complaining. I could always use the extra cabbage.
So now to get to the title of the post. (Wow, I'm all over the place here).
It's autumn. I love ALL seasons in NEPA. And I just took this picture with my phone. This is out back of the radio station.
I love the colors of autumn. I love the crispness in the air. There's nothing like sipping a hot cup of coffee, while enjoy the fresh smells of autumn (as long as you're not near a garbage dump).I also love autumn because we're getting closer to winter, which means (BIG FANFARE) ICE FISHING!!!!!!!!
I don't know why, but I also like to wear autumn/winter clothes. Big, bulky clothing. Big, bulky, comfy clothes. Heck, I was debating on whether or not to pull out the long johns already. :)
Plus, in the fishing department, autumn usually means the fish start stacking up for the winter feed, so it'll be Octoberfest in more ways than one.
There is a LOT more I could write about, but I don't have any pictures to go along with the words, and I know we all love to look at pictures. :)
So hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures for you soon, maybe some video (my new phone is so cool) and I'll post more. Until next time........pray for ice for me. And if you don't like the cold weather....put on a coat, or move. LOL. It's NEPA, it's going to get cold. Thanks for listening.
